Als ich mir am Kiosk die Burda Style geholt habe, stach mir die Sabrina Woman ins Auge und ich nahm sie mir zur Hand um sie durchzublättern. Dabei stiess ich auf dieses Kleid. Und... ja genau, ich musste mir die Zeitschrift kaufen. Zu Hause angekommen wollte ich mir unbedingt etwas Frühlingshaftes nähen. Als ich in meinem Stofffundus nach einer geeigneten Kombination suchte, stachen mir diese beiden Stoffe ins Auge.

When I was at the newsstand to buy the new Burda Style I saw the Sabrina Woman magazine. As I ran over the pages of the magazine this dress was my eye-catcher. I had to buy the magazine. At home I felt like sewing a new springlike dress. In my fabric pool I saw these two fabrics and I knew, that they would become my new dress.

Die Stoffkombination gefällt hier sehr gut. Mein Mann findet es das schönste Teil, welches ich jemals genäht habe und meine Zaubermaus will auch so ein Shirt und bitte genau das gleiche, sprich mit Knoten...

The combination is approved by everyone at home. My husband thinks, that the dress is the most beautiful I sew until now. And our magical mouse wants to have the same one... with the same fabrics... and of course with this knot.

Um den Halsausschnitt ist der Stoff mit einem Rollsaum versehen, das finde ich ein tolles Detail an dem Kleid und gibt ihm einen verspielten Touch.

Around the neckline I used a rolled hem. I like it! It's a great detail on the dress and adds a playful touch.

Beim Zuschneiden habe ich mir noch überlegt, wie ich den Erdbeerstoff zuschneiden sollte, aber scheinbar doch falsch aufgelegt. Nun sind die Erdbeeren in der Mitte natürlich auf dem Kopf - aber was soll's, ich werde es trotzdem tragen.

When I was cutting, I was trying hard to get the image right - but yet, the strawberries in the center are upside down. But I don't mind - I like to wear it anyway.

Ich liebe Leggings mit Stiefeln, kombiniert mit einer Tunika oder einem Kleid über alles. Darum habe ich mich augenblicklich in das Kleid 111 aus der Burda Style 12/2010 verliebt.

I admire leggings with boots and a tunic or a dress. So I fell in love when I saw the dress 111 in Burda Style 12-2010.

Den Stoff hatte ich 2009 von einem Stoffmarkt nach Hause geholt. Als ich das Kleid sah, wusste ich, dass ich diesen Stoff anschneiden musste.

The jersey is from a fabric market 2009 in Mannheim. And when I saw the dress I knew that I had to bring this great fabric up.

Auf Reissverschlüsse habe ich verzichtet, da diese mit dem Jersey nicht benötigt werden. Dafür habe ich das Rockteil um 8cm enger gemacht, damit es schön anliegend ist.

I sew without a zipper, because I don't need one with jersey. I took the skirt 8 cm in, so that the skirt fits perfectly.

Am liebsten habe ich die Ärmelabschlüsse und die Fledermausärmel. Das Kleid sieht auch zu Röhrenjeans super aus. Nach Lust und Laune mit einem Gürtel und einer Kette getragen - immer ein perfektes Outfit.

I love the opening and the loose sleeves. And I can wear it with skinny jeans too. As you like it - with belt or necklace - always a perfect outfit.

Viel Spass!

Lange konnte ich, aus gesundheitlichen Gründen, nicht nähen. Doch nun geht es langsam wieder den Berg hoch und ich kann mal ab und zu kurz an die Nähmaschine. Bei vielen von euch, habe ich mich rar gemacht. Es tut mir Leid - aber die Gesundheit geht vor.

For a long time I couldn't sew for health reasons. But it's came better, so that I can sewing for awhile. Sorry for the breake - but health comes first.

Im Moment bin ich an zwei Projekten. Einmal an dem Kleid 111 aus der BuMo 12/2010

At the moment I'm on two projects. The first one is the dress 111 from Burda Style 12-2010:

und das andere Projekt ein Mantel aus der Knip Sept. 2009 Model 1

...and the second one is a coat from Knip 09-2009, model 1:

Für den Mantel muss ich noch Knöpfe einkaufen und das Kleid benötigt auch nur noch den letzten Schliff.

For the coat I have to buy buttons. But the dress is nearly finished.
