Trinidad

In the morning we painted Trinidad red! We strolled through the town. Trinidad is a very famous city. Since 1988 the town is a Unesco World Cultural Heritage.

Am Morgen haben wir Trinidad unsicher gemacht! Wir sind durch die Strassen geschlendert und haben die Stadt auf uns wirken lassen. Trinidad ist seit 1988 Unesco Weltkulturerbe.

A lot of buildings were renovated. The streets are cobble stone pavement. (The lady in the picture isn't singing she is chatting;-) )

Viele Gebäude wurden renoviert - die Strassen sind Kopfsteinpflaster. (Die Dame auf dem Photo singt nicht, sie redet wie ein Wasserfall auf die armen Männer ein )

One of the famoust places is the Plaza Mayor, a calm and colorful main square.

Eines der berühmtesten Dinge ist der Plaza Mayor, ein sehr ruhiger und bunter Hauptplatz.

In the afternoon we drove to the Valle de los Ingenios. There are a lot of ruins from ingenios (sugar mills) dating back to the 19th century - and the landscape is beautiful. Most of the mills were demolished in the second war of Independence.

Am Nachmittag sind wir ins Valle de los Ingenios gefahren. Es gibt da sehr viele Ruinen, von ingenios (Zuckermühlen) aus dem 19. Jahrhundert. Die Zuckermühlen wurden im zweiten Unabhängigkeitskrieg zerstört. Die Landschaft ist - einmal mehr - wunderschön!
