Cienfuegos - unsere kubanische Lieblingsstadt / our favourite Cuban town

Cienfuegos is a such a marvelous town! I loved it so much... its surname is pearl of the South - and this is true! It comes at no surprise, that the Unesco declared Cienfuegos a World Cultural Heritage.

Cienfuegos ist eine wunderschöne Stadt! Ich liebte sie sehr... der Beiname ist Perle des Südens - und das ist sie wirklich! So verwundert es nicht, dass die Unesco auch Cienfuegos zum Weltkulturerbe erklärt hat.

In the eveving we strolled through town. One of the famous views is the Parque José Martí. In the middle of this park we met José Martí - or at least his statue

Abends liefen wir durch die Stadt. Der berühmteste Platz in Cienfuegos ist der Parque José Martí. In der Mitte des Platzes sind wir auch José Martí begegnet - oder wenigstens seinem Ebenbild in Stein

Around the place there are many objects of interest, such as the Arco de Triunfo, in honor of the Cuban Independence. It's the only triumphal arch in Cuba.

Rund um den Platz sind viele Sehenswürdigkeiten. So zum Beispiel der Arco de Triunfo, zu Ehren der kubanischen Unabhängigkeit. Er ist der einzige Triumphbogen in Kuba.

Then the theatre Tomás Terry. It was built by his sons in honor of their famous father. The foyer is fit with Carrara marble and the carved seats are of Cuban wood.

Dann das Theatro Tomás Terry. In Gedenken an den berühmten Vater bauten seine Söhne dieses Theater. Das Foyer besteht aus Carrara Marmor und die geschnitzten Stühle sind aus kubanischem Holz.

Another must for tourists is located in Punta Gorda. This is 3 km outside of the city. The Palacio de Valle was built in 1917. A man in love built it for his wife.

Eine andere Seheswürdigkeit liegt in Punta Gorda, 3km ausserhalb der Stadt. Der Palacio de Valle wurde 1917 von einem liebenden Ehemann erbaut - als Geschenk für seine Frau.
